Everything you are now doing is going to affect the last six months of 2008.
Look at your last paystub and take a moment to review the total that represents your “year to date” earnings. If you doubled that amount this year, will you be thrilled with that income? If you answered YES - you don’t need to read the rest of this entry. If you answered NO - read on!
In the Staffing and Recruiting Profession you write your own paycheck. If you’re not happy with what you’ve earned in the first six months of this year, only you can change your results in the next six months. Ask yourself the following:
1. What 20% of what I do provides me with 80% of my production? Once you’ve answered this questions, vow to do more of those results oriented
activities.
2. What is a big fat waste of my time. (example: doing full interviews vs. courtesy interviews for candidates you KNOW you can not place)
vow to discountinue those activities immediately.
3. What new technique, idea or method will I try each of the remaining six months of this year.
If you do things the SAME WAY you will get the exactly SAME RESULTS. You need to determine what changes you will make to enable you to
become more successful.
Do this same Individual Performance Review at the end of the third quarter of this year and you WILL have a record year in 2008!
