In this Candidate Driven MArket, marketing a candidate is a very effective way to write job orders and often make placements. I spoke with a recruiter today who selects his top candidate and books three interviews for that candidate. He then moves on to his next “most placeable candidate” and repeats the process.
He is billing over $500,000 this year and accredited over 50% of his production to marketing candidates! Think about it for a minute….there is no competition when you market a candidate. Often a job is created or they upgrade the level of talent on their team. If you are NOT marketing candidates - you might want to rethink the way you do business.
It is especially easy when you ask the candidate where they want to work. If you obtain an offer from one of their targeted companies, most of the problem areas disappear. Here’s to you making more placements! Barb Bruno, CPC, CTS
