LOSING CANDIDATES DUE TO LONG PROCESSES

I don’t know a recruiter in our Profession, who thinks their clients move fast enough to hire their candidates. Yet, I think we would all agree the process seems to “shorten” when we truly send in a super star! Often processes are delayed because we are not sending in quality candidates.
If you are losing candidates while you’re waiting for interviews to be confirmed - I have one solution that has always helped solve this problem. The next time your client calls in a job order, send him resumes of candidates who are close to taking offers. When the client finally calls to set up your candidates, let him know most of them have already accepted other offers. We are in a candidate drive marketplace, but clients need to see “what’s in it for them” if they are going to shorten their reaction time.
The shorter the process, the better chance you have of making a placement! Barb Bruno, CPC, CTS
