Offer turndowns are becoming an everyday occurance in our Profession. The reasons are obvious:
1. It’s a candidate drive marketplace
2.Candidates are getting multiple OFFERS
3.We are NOT re-interviewing our candidates to get more honest answers!
4. We are NOT staying informed of our candidates’ interviewing activity!
Here are a few QUICK SOLUTIONS:
1. NEVER interview for one specific search - you will slant your interview
2. Identify your candidates HOT BUTTONS - what MUST BE THERE in order for them to make a career change!
3. Constantly re-interview your candidate as trust is established
4. NEVER attempt to control your candidate - DEVELOP RAPPORT!
You need to be aware of this trend and always attempt to get your candidates out on more than ONE INTERVIEW!
