WE NEED TO ASSIST VETERANS!

On this Memorial Day Holiday, I always think of my mother’s 18 year old brother Ben, who gave his life in WWII when he heroically saved the lives of his fellow soldiers. I think of my dad who was at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed, I think of the years my husband Tony spent in the Navy and I think of my niece Lindsay’s fiance who is currently serving our country.
I also think of our founding fathers and all the men and women who gave their lives so that we can enjoy all the freedoms of living in America. The freedoms we too often take for granted.
Please take a moment over this holiday to remember those who have served and say a prayer for the safe return of the many individuals who are celebrating this holiday in harms way to protect our country.
I have an important questions to ask all of you. Do you assist veterans when they return from their tour of duty? When these heros return, their primary need is a job and that is what we all do for a living. The next time you get the resume of a veteran, go out of your way to see which skills are transferable to the needs of your clients. It is the “LEAST” we can do.
