PRE-CLOSE WHEN YOU INTERVIEW

It is very apparent that the job market is rapidly changing to a candidate driven market. As a result you must fine tune your interviewing skills. The best way to make sure you have “heard” what they “said” if to pre-close during the entire process.

Interviews should consist of: Question - Answer - Pre-Close, Question - Answer - Pre-Close.
For example, if your candidate said they are looking for advancement, you would follow that up with this pre-close “So what you’re asking me to do is find you a job you can grow into, not out of, is that correct?” This shows the candidate you understand what is important to them.

The more you understand the priorities of your candidate - the better chance you will have in placing them in their next job! Remember: Question - Answer - Pre-Close.
