AWESOME JOB TAPC!

This past week-end I had the pleasure of speaking at TAPC - The Texas Association of Personnel Consultants. The Conference Chairman - Helene Cavanaugh and her amazing committee put together a program second to none. No wonder there were more than 425 people in attendance!
The speakers addressed every hot issue our profession is facing, there were many networking possibilities for attendees and the award luncheon was the “highlight of the conference.” I don’t know an owner who would not welcome the possibility of having their “rookies” watch other “rookies” win top awards for their first year cash in nearing $200,000.
It was also wonderful to be present while Susan Matheison was honored for her many years of service to TAPC. The warmth and appreciation the people of Texas showed Susan was outstanding. They have renamed their top award in her honor and the pictures flashed on the screen displayed the endless memories Susan had provided for TAPC. Susan obviously deserved this recognition, but again TAPC went out of their way to provide Susan with a memory she will cherish for the rest of her life.
It also warmed my heart to see the outpouring of efforts on behalf of Willow River Farms. The centerpieces, gifts for the speakers and many items available for sale were provided by the participants in this non-for-profit organization.
How nice to combine conference and philanthropic efforts in this event.
Bigger isn’t always better - but TAPC knows how to accomplish both. It was an amazing experience and I just want to say “thanks for the memories!”
