Barb,
First, let me say I really enjoy your emails. Two weeks ago you sent some training advice in regards to marketing candidates. You simply stated “Date and Marry” I was inspired by that email and made a choice to step up my efforts.
Long story short Barb. I placed a senior level candidate in a Director level position. The fee $20K.
It really is all about having fun with the “process” I love to get my great candidates “Dates” with new clients and because of my research I know the “wedding bells will be ringing” If we all have fun with the process, the fees will follow.
We all “market candidates” but I prefer to “Date and Marry” I could go on and on … but I’ll stop

I’ve always compared recruiting to dating. The first interview is very much like a first date and we need to know what is important to the other person in order to succeed. I loved Mike’s approach and especially enjoyed hearing his success story.
Never forget the importance of “dating” and getting to know each other better on both sides of our sales (clients and candidates) in order to have them both live happily ever after! The end result - just like Mike enjoy more placements!
