Do you send out resumes/CV with contact information to clients?
Would you send a resume/CV with contact information to a brand new client?
Would you send a resume/CV with contact information to a
propective client showing them a sampling of the top talent you represent.
If you answered YES to any of these questions, I want you to consider the following:
Do you think any of those candidates have been hired “without” your assistance, or without these companies paying you a fee?
The answer is more than likely YES! Technology has
allowed companies to retain resumes more efficiently,
The solution to this problem:
1. Never send contact information on your resumes
until your client has agreed to interview them.
Contact information includes:
Name, Address, Phone, Email Address, as well as the
name of their current or most recent employer.
2. Make sure your name, firm name and contact
information is “large and in bold print” on every page of
the eventual resume you do send.
3. See how many interview you can book with an excellent
“verbal presentation” without ever sending a resume first.
You will surprise yourself especially if you got interview
times when you took your job order!
Top Talent will be harder and harder to identify and represent and you don’t want to “give” this top talent FREE
to prospective or current clients.
Just don’t be so ANXIOUS to send out resumes. You work too hard identify this top talent to “give it away!”
Hope you have a record breaking month!
