A GIFT OF THANKS

This is the time of year when we celebrate “Thanksgiving.” There is so much we have to be thankful for in our profession. This seems like a great time to ask you a couple of questions.
“When is the last time you sent someone a handwritten thank you note?”
“Do you personally enjoy receiving a handwritten thank you note?”
“Would your candidates or clients enjoy receiving this type of note from you?”
“How would your co-workers or boss react to a thank you note?
If you want a painless way to “stay in touch”, make it a habit to write out five THANK YOU notes every day when you arrive at your office. They can also be sent to co-workers, family and friends. There is something magical that happens when you start to display “gratitude” in your life.
My grandmother taught me years ago that “what goes around, comes around”, and I’ve learned her words were very wise. Due to technology, email has taken over as the primary means of communication. If you follow my training, you often hear me stress the importance of being high tech but also high touch! A simple thank you note is one of the most effective ways to differentiate yourself.
Before you return to work after this long holiday week-end, buy some thank you notes (that will be on sale) and start this new habit Monday morning. You will be AMAZED by what occurs in your life!
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.
I’m grateful that you read the articles I write and hope that gratitude and thank you notes have a wonderful impact on your life!
Hope you have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends!
