YOUR ATTITUDE WILL DETERMINE YOUR ALTITUDE
Each day you make a “choice” regarding the attitude you will embrace
Your success in this profession will depend 10% on what happens to you 90% on how you react to it.
We are all in a “sales” job which ensures:
High level of rejection
High level of failure
In the past twelve months we’ve also experienced:
Demanding clients
Frustrated Candidates
“Let’s make a deal” on a daily basis
Working in a different economy
Dealing with “fears” we’ve never experienced
Think of the changes you’ve experienced in your personal or work life in the past year? Any stressful?
Realize CHANGE IS THE ONLY CERTAINTY…
You must learn to embrace it!
Everyone in our profession has the same opportunity to excel.
Those that don’t blame “others” or “situations”
Top producers try more so they fail more,
But they see “obstacles as opportunities” and
“failures as learning experiences”
A stressful situation occurs, do you…
Talk about the situation to anyone that will listen (wasting energy)
Ignore what is happening hoping it will go away (delaying a solution)
Become the office gossip, even though the problem doesn’t affect you.
Try to think of who you can blame for what has happened
Feel like a victim, feel helpless (unable to function)
Realize you must always focus on solutions vs. problem
It is vital to LISTEN to your SELF TALK
What do you say to yourself that last time you had a conversation
With yourself?
Compliments or insults??
When you talk to yourself you have to start saying only NICE THINGS
Arrive at work ready to SUCCEED!
Leave your problems, moods and opinions at the door.
Must be mentally ready to function for the entire day
If you’re not a morning person - pretend you are.
In order to orchestrate an “attitude adjustment” or “new behavior” you must commit to twenty-one days of repetition.
The new attitude or behavior will then become your natural “unconscious” way of doing things.
One person cannot make a successful team or office.
One person can BREAK IT!
Ever work with someone who is negative? Always complaining?
They can literally SUCK the oxygen out of the air in your office
Distance yourself from this type of individual
When you fill an order land a contract get back on the phone - you’ll be great share your successes at lunch
Realize everytime you interrupt someone else (with either positive or negative things) during working hours, you are COSTING THEM MONEY and preventing their success
Realize a proper attitude goes hand in hand with TIME MANAGEMENT Easy to be positive - when you’re having a great month!
Learn how to better utilize your 20 hours of PRIME TIME each week.
If you want something done, why should you give it to the busiest person you know?
Improve your success - improve your attitude
TOP TEN TIPS:
1. Fill out your planner BEFORE you leave work
2. Arrive at work 30 minutes early with your CAN DO Attitude
3. Do things DIFFERENTLY - OFTEN!
4. Realize your job is to get decision makers to meet with your candidates
5. Know more about your clients than they do (and their competition)
6. Never give an original of anything to anyone
7. Always get interviewing times when you write an order
8. Inform your candidates to only call you between 4:00 & 5:00 PM
9. Listen more - talk less!
10.Remember…you don’t judge a person success by the number of their success but rather the failures they overcome!
