I’m in my office this evening, getting material together for the Missouri Association Conference. I’ve realized that other than making “placements”, my next passion is to teach others what I’ve been able to learn these past thirty years. It’s fun watching recruiters attaining levels of performance they never thought possible. I love to cut the learning curve for others. This past year, I hired two wealth coaches and have dedicated 10+ hours per week learning new things myself. What an awesome experience this has been! I’ve learned more in the past 6 months, than I learned in the past 5 years. This brings me to the topic I wanted to discuss with you today. I think it’s so important for all of us to make the commitment to become LIFETIME LISTENERS. If you think you “know it all”, you’ve just lost competitive edge. I’m asked often, why do you share everything you know. The answer is simple. “I keep learning – so you’re never going to catch me!” I can’t wait to share the new knowledge I have, but I need to test methods in my own office before I teach others! It doesn’t make a difference HOW you learn – it’s just important THAT you continue to learn. You can attend conferences, buy training materials, read the Fordyce Letter…just do something. Everyone knows it’s important to exercise at least three times a week to stay healthy. It’s just as important to exercise your brain to keep it healthy and not stagnant.
I’d also like to inform all of you about a RECRUITER SYMPOSIUM I’m doing for NAPS. This is the first time I’ve accepted their invitation to conduct an entire day of intensive RECRUITER training.
